About
Anna (they/she) is a curious human who embraces a slow and creative way of being in the world. They are mixed Irish-Scottish heritage and grew up in Newcastle on unceded lands of Awakbal Country. Anna now lives, works and creates on unceded Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung Land in Naarm (Melbourne). They are drawn to bodies of water and light at golden hour.
Artists and icons that continue to inspire their work and process include Frida Kahlo, Chiharu Shiota, Alexis Pauline Gumbs, bell hooks and all their creative matriarchal ancestors who practiced craft and taught Anna about the ways creativity can care for us.
Anna works as an ANZACATA registered art therapist with Rainbow Muse Collective, offering sessions online and in-person in Naarm (Melbourne).
For their studio practice and personal creating, Anna paints at Pink Ember Studio in Coburg North.
